The Daylife Cookbook is a collection of recipes to help you bootstrap applications that use the Daylife platform (DayPI).
These recipes come from Daylifers and the cookbook community, with entries ranging from sample code to tutorials, half baked ideas, and spotlights of the latest deployments of the DayPI.

What is the $2000 Yahoo! BOSS Bonus Prize?
The $2000 Yahoo! BOSS Bonus prize will be offered to the best contest entry that uses Yahoo!'s new BOSS API and the Daylife API (and any other).
Yahoo! Search BOSS (Build your Own Search Service) is a web services platform that allows developers and companies to create and launch web-scale search products by utilizing the same infrastructure and technology that powers Yahoo! Search. BOSS allows developers to take advantage of Yahoo!'s production search infrastructure and technology, combine that with their own unique assets, and create their own search experiences. When Yahoo! launched the BOSS API on July 9th 2008, Daylife was among the first partners to use the BOSS API for its new hosted product with a customization wizard that lets anyone make their own version of Daylife and launch a news portal in minutes, in your own voice, brand, and feel.
The Daylife Developer Challenge and the Yahoo! BOSS launch has had a great response and excitement so far. Yahoo! kicked it up a notch by offering this $2000 bonus prize for the application that uses both the BOSS and the Daylife APIs.
The rules for this prize are simple:
- Your application must use the BOSS APIs and the Daylife APIs.
- All deadlines for the Daylife Developer Challenge apply to this prize. Remember, the contest ends midnight of July 25 2008 EDT.
- Bill Michels will be the sole judge to decide the best mashup for this prize.
