The Daylife Cookbook is a collection of recipes to help you bootstrap applications that use the Daylife platform (DayPI).
These recipes come from Daylifers and the cookbook community, with entries ranging from sample code to tutorials, half baked ideas, and spotlights of the latest deployments of the DayPI.

The Latest Trends in Design, From My Deco
Mydeco built an innovative widget for tracking trendsetting designers and stores in the interior design industry.
Step by Step
Define the application
Mydeco came up with a list topics that they wanted to track - designers, trends, stores, cities. They also provided a long list of sources that they wanted to pull news from. Daylife created a source filter for mydeco to ensure all article counts and headlines were from the sources that were in mydeco's source list.
Develop and Deploy using the DayPI
The mydeco widget is built using the Version 4.0 of the DayPI. The UI for the widget was built by the developers at mydeco using flash.
The meme-o-meter index uses the News Indexer code to generate the XML data for the meme-o-meter flash to consume. The code does use a source filter to restrict to a whitelist of sources.
